INSTRUCTIONS

PREPPING YOUR NEW BANNETON BASKET

- It is important to prep your new proofing basket prior to use to prevent dough sticking to it.

-Spray some water into your proofing basket from a spray bottle

- Ensure the water gets into all the corners of the proofing basket.

-Allow the water rest for 10 – 15 minutes while it seeps into the material of the basket.

-Using a dry cloth, wipe off the excess water.

-Sprinkle some flour onto the proofing basket and slightly rub into it. Let it sit for 5 minutes.

-Turn the basket over and tap the basket to remove the excess flour.

USING YOUR PROOFING BASKET

- Dust the proofing basket with flour

- Place your risen dough into the basket and allow to rest.

- Do not bake with bannetons; only use for proofing.

- Follow steps to maintain your basket.

CLEANING YOUR PROOFING BASKET

- Tap the basket moderately on your sink to eliminate the excess flour from the crevices of the basket.

-High pressure spray with water from the kitchen sink.

- Shake off the excess water.

- Place upside down inside your hot oven for a couple of minutes until it is dry.
